TURNER SHOW HORSES
WELCOME TO TURNER SHOW HORSES
Turner Show Horses is owned by JR and Ann Turner, located in central florida in a small town named Floral City. We have easy access to Ocala, Orlando and Tampa.
Our training facility specializes in both western and huntseat all around horses as well as futurity and pleasure prospects. Our facility includes a 16 stall barn, 2 round pens, a large clay riding pad as well as turnout paddocks. There is also a trail course set up at all times for your schooling purposes. There is an attending farrier on site with local vet services provided and we live on the premises.
JR and Ann both have been involved in the horse industry for most of their lives from roping to running barrels, fitting and showing pleasure and halter horses, to participating in AQHA, APHA, PHBA, IBHA, PTHA, NSBA sanctioned shows as well as their world events and congress resulting in a mutitude of champions. JR is busy now with his farrier services and showing in the amatuer events but seems to be around to lend a helping hand when needed. We both feel privildged to work with horses and we believe that with hard work, talented horses and good clientel the road to success comes around alot easier.
Please feel free to contact us or stop by and visit about our training programs available, we strive to offer the best care for your horse with good feed, hay and the right mineral program. By keeping your horse healthy and comfortable helps create the results we are looking for.
Thanks for visiting our website and see ya at the shows.
MAKING A DIFFERENCE BY KEEPING IT SIMPLE
Our training program is made up with in mind that every horse and every rider are different and have to be approached with different methods of training. When starting young horses we have to remember that some of them are fragile with busy minds and some are really slow at understanding and retaining information. As far as riders some of them want to win the world and some just want to sit back and relax. I am now offering lessons to riders on their own horses, as well as starting young ones to tuning up the ole show horse. I like to specialize in youth/amatuer all around horses, also going from start to finnish on trail horses. I try telling myself that God granted me the serenity to accept the things that I cannot change, change the things that I can and the knowledge to know the difference.
Remember to have fun and see ya showing !!!
ALL FOR ONE AND ONE FOR ALL
Everyone that rides and shows with TSH has become a group within one, very eager to help each other wether you are a newcomer or an ole pro by extending a helping hand here at the barn or at the show, or by giving an encouraging word or pat on the back someone will always be in your corner. Friends and fun go along way and make all of our accomplishments and defeats seem to be more rewarding.
I myself want to say good luck to everyone and remember not to be to serious or forget why we are working with horses, keep it real and have an amazing ride.
SEE YA IN THE RING
